Thanks for the missive from your open tabs! You described a school bus smell perfectly. Had quite the flashback moment! Gonna toast David Lynch with a damn good cup of coffee!
Mount Everest climbing disasters pulls you outta a funk?! Woo sounds like more anxiety to me but I think it’s our connection with nature that pulls us out. Like you said- fresh air, moving your body and seeing cool animals! We just went to Museum of Science and Industry and there’s a Mold-a-Rama exhibit (ending Monday). I always wonder if that was just a Chicago thing. I’ll read the other commenters link on that!
haha I think maybe the documentaries help put my mundane problems in perspective. I went to the Mold-a-Rama exhibit and loved it! We have a shelf in our house with all of ours on display; it feels such like a uniquely Chicago institution.
I can't help the zoo have a mold-a-rama, but you can buy some online, like the one above! You can bring that with you on your adventures so you have a piece of downtown while in the wild. Because you know, the transitive property...
Before even starting to read, I got weepy from the subhead! 😭 But then was happy to lol right after at "Feel the rain on your skin". Ha!
lol glad someone got that!
The Margaret Mead quote made me tear up. ❤
me too ❤

When I read your post this morning re: brain files, I was like "great mind think alike!" ;)

Yeah, my January didn’t have the crisp, new feeling either. The Lynch advice is exactly what I needed to restart!
it's been a weird start for sure!
Another excellent article that evokes all the feels! https://www.mold-a-rama.com/Willis-Tower-p572837310
